About Every Elegant Detail

Attention to detail is what successful event planning is all about, and no
one knows this better than Every Elegant Detail’s founder and lead event
planner Janece Shellooe. Although Janece started out working for an investment and banking firm, she decided to switch gears and began helping her friends with their catering company.  After several years of catering and working in the event industry, Janece met a wedding planner who served as her mentor and exposed her to the planning aspects of events instead of just their production. Inspired by being a part of one of the most important days of people’s lives, Janece decided to step out on her own and founded Every Elegant Detail in 2007. As a San Francisco Bay Area native, Janece excels at creating one-of-a-kind event experiences for clients all over Northern California.  Janece’s favorite part of being an event planner is successfully executing each event, receiving thanks and praise from her clients, and feeling proud when hearing that they couldn’t have done it without her.  In her spare time, Janece loves to cook and enjoys experiencing the flavors of all different kinds of world cuisine.  She also enjoys any time she is able to travel and spend time with her friends and family. Associate event planner Amelia Thomas joined Every Elegant detail early in 2009
after graduating from Sonoma State University.  Growing up in Santa Barbara gave
Amelia opportunities to plan and coordinate some of her first events, including a
private tour of an abalone farm followed by a gourmet abalone dinner which featured beautiful centerpieces and favors that she made by hand.  Amelia also planned and coordinated her own wedding in 2008, including artfully creating her own invitations, programs, and escort cards as well as making beautiful additions to her wedding dress and hairpiece.  Amelia has also gained much experience through working with multiple catering and floral design companies, providing her with fresh outlooks, ideas, and enthusiasm for each event she plans.  Amelia’s favorite part of being an event planner is having a job where she is able to make personal connections and have a positive impact in other people’s lives in a memorable way.
